John Harrison
John is a leadership and planning specialist. He has a passionate interest in developing improved cultural standards, leadership styles and performance outcomes for Australian businesses.
A major focus for John is the development of Visual-ConnectŠ strategic plans. He is currently working with executive leaders creating and implementing hard edged strategies designed to produce immediate results through fully engaged people. Leading-edge facilitation techniques are employed during the creation of these strategies. The process also develops leadership capability amongst all involved, ensuring the plans deliver to their promise.
John brings to his work a very strong commitment to his clients achieving
tangible outcomes and quickly acquiring the skills to continue their own
development. His years spent in large corporate settings mean he can effectively
guide teams from any discipline through strategic planning and other problem
solving processes. The same experience is invaluable in guiding new managers as
they learn their leadership skills.
John also has a background in Information Technology that stretches back over
twenty years. His time spent in senior management, systems design, systems
support and project management adds considerable value in workshops, where we so
often find issues surrounding IT systems and processes.
A sportsman for more than 30 years, John remains amongst the top level of
competitors in off-road motorcycle racing. He finished third in his class at the
2002 national 4 stroke motocross series and in 2003 gained 2nd and 3rd places in
two NSW endurance championships. In 2004 John finished 3rd in his class in the
NSW enduro Sprint series. This sporting background provides insight
into the determination, planning, preparation and flexibility needed for
continuing success.
